The Project of Proximity. Questioning the Infrastructure of Everyday Life

Masterplans Studio 2025–26 will hold its first examination session on June 23rd, structured around three consecutive presentations corresponding to the studio’s main thematic clusters. Each session will feature an invited guest and provide an opportunity for discussion and feedback on the projects developed throughout the semester.

The day will begin at 9:30 AM with the Youth Centers group, joined by David Vezzoni, Youth Centre Manager and Member of the Mayor’s Staff at the Municipality of Milan.

The second session, dedicated to Public Libraries, will take place from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM with Liù Palmieri, from the Administration, Innovation and Development Unit of the Municipal Library System Department.

The final session, focused on Swimming Pools, will run from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM with Francesco Rosata, Project Manager of the Argelati redevelopment and representative of the Sports Facilities Division of the Municipality of Milan.

The event will conclude with a final discussion around the overarching theme of the studio, “The Project of Proximity: Questioning the Infrastructure of Everyday Life,” bringing together reflections and insights emerging from the three project tracks.
