The Space of Inequality. Environment, Mobility, Citizenship
An open dialogue between academics and representatives of cities, metropolitan cities and megalopolises

Milano Arch Week
On the 31st of October CRAFT, The Center of Competence for Anti-Fragile Territories of Politecnico di Milano, DAStU, organizes a high-level event in occasion of the closure of the 24th Triennale Milano International Exhibition "Inequalities", organized and held at Triennale Milano (until November 9, 2025).
The event, in collaboration with the Milano Metro-Hub Center initiative, is co-curated by all the colleagues that, under the scientific responsibility of Professor Alessandro Balducci, have contributed to the design and production of the exposition section “The Space of Inequalities. Environment, Mobility, Citizenship”.
The format is based on an open dialogue between academics and representatives of cities, metropolitan cities and megalopolises who can contribute to a critical high-level debate by bringing in and exchanging their peculiar perspective on the topics of the Exhibition – their open questions, tensions, aspirations, projects, solutions. The day is divided into two parts:
1. The morning session hosts a multi-voice dialogue, between the scientific debate and the city, in order to generate and feed the field of practices, policies, projects and plan tackling inequalities.
2. The afternoon is designed as a round table among representatives of international associations of cities and metropolitan areas or bodies supporting or advocating the strategic role of cities in tackling inequalities.
The whole day is Triennale Milano and Politecnico di Milano contribution to the Urban October, the month dedicated by the United Nations to reflect and discuss about the role of cities and metropolitan areas in sustainable development, and the World Urban Day.
